music in los altos
The second concert of “Music In Los Altos” is on Sunday, January 28th at 3:00 p.m., presenting One Found Sound, a San Francisco based conductor-less, collaborative, chamber orchestra on a mission to break down the barriers of the classical music stigma; to bring it back to its glory days of boisterous audiences and the thrill of discovering something new with each note.
Deconstructing the typical hierarchical structure of the classic orchestral model, the artistic vision of One Found Sound is placed collaboratively in the hands of its members. Our performances invite the audience to feel the same tension and release, happiness and sorrow, struggle and triumph as those of us performing. Beethoven said, “Music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life. As musicians we are the messengers of this connection. This concert is given by the One Found Sound Woodwind Quintet, made up of the core members of the One Found Sound wind section.
Tickets are available through the venue’s office (Los Altos Lutheran Church, 650-948-3012, firstname.lastname@example.org), or their Music Director, Lynda Alexander. General Admission is $30 or $50 for a family .
