Choir and Music

‘Rejoicing Ringers’ Handbell Choir

Under the direction of Lynda Alexander, this instrumental music ensemble uses three-octave sets of Malmark handbells and chimes.  In addition to playing in the church services, the Rejoicing Ringers have participated in events such as the church’s Christmas Party, 4th of July picnic, and the annual Bay Area Spring Ring Handbell Festival in Cupertino. This Fall they presented a concert of Handbell and Chime music at The Seventh Day Adventist Church in Palo Alto.  The handbell choir recesses in the summer months and resumes in September.  Practices are held each Tuesday, 6:30 PM in the Music Rehearsal Room (room 5 downstairs). The group is open to all interested parties! Feel free to contact the church office or Lynda Alexander, 650-493-3088 or email hitkmus@aol.com if you have questions.

Choir and Ensemble Singing

Each liturgical season holds unique opportunities for voices to be raised in song.  Our music program runs from September to June and is typically dormant over the summer.  Each June we culminate the season with a Celebration of Music Sunday, where the worship service is filled with expressions of gratitude for music and the joy it brings to this world. Our Chancel Choir rehearses at 7:45 PM each Tuesday in the Sanctuary.   We also host guest instrumentalists throughout the year and on festival Sundays. Please contact the church office or speak with our Music Director, Lynda Alexander, if you would like to learn more about our musical opportunities or have a talent to share!
